I must report that lawn mowing is the pet peeve of our resident kildeer family. Every time I turned the corner with the John Deere there she was doing her “wounded bird” thing. Won’t he ever go away, she asks?
Well eventually she determined that whilst I was large, smelly, and noisy I did in fact pose no imminent threat to the nest, so she decided to stay put.
I knew that macro-zoom lens would come in handy someday…
On the Left Side of the Road...05/29/2009 at 11:27 pm #1908600Agree w/Timberline: it’s cemetery. Drives me batty when I see the “a” spelling.
Driving through a roundabout…drivers who cannot and do not stay in their own lane.
05/30/2009 at 4:04 pm #1908601Mr TE dislikes roundabouts all together… think that would count as a peeve.
TE05/30/2009 at 7:08 pm #1908602A LONG SHARP pencil put in the double zip lock bag. JAMMED in a too small cache container. DUH !!
05/31/2009 at 2:23 am #1908603People (especially neighbors) who don’t clean up after their dogs. If I wanted to clean up dog crap I would own a dog! π‘
05/31/2009 at 3:31 am #1908604people who put an “r” in wash π
people who “mispell” the word misspell π
people who misspell “oops” π
people who call my home and ask for me but cannot say my last name correctly. (obvious telemarketer red flag). π‘
when someone wants to “axe” me a question π
sometimes I just have a low people tolerance day

Time to get back out into the woods.
05/31/2009 at 4:53 am #1908606How about “ebonics”? That one really peeves me. I can understand having a hard time learning the English language if you come from abroad, but being born and raised here?
05/31/2009 at 1:40 pm #1908607How about being threatened with the new logging requirements on an Earthcache.
I thought that I loged this on already and if I did you can’t go deleting logs just because of loging requarments because the new rules state that isn’t allowed. I visited the site on the 2nd day of the geocacher’s convention
05/31/2009 at 2:24 pm #1908608that guy on tv that pronounces powerful as “parrful”
05/31/2009 at 2:32 pm #1908609Or anyone pronouncing it “Wes-con-sin”

In general HE is my pet peeve. See my note on the page. I also sent him ANOTHER email regarding actually READING the guidelines before proclaiming to know them. He still hasn’t logged one of my caches yet π

We have an individual here in Fond Du Lac that picks up after his dog then leaves the bag full laying on the trails. I saw the person once with his dog as he committed this act. Unfortunately he was too far away for me to question his parentage.

…people who think they know it all and spout off before getting the facts straight…but perhaps that is more of an irritation than a pet peeve.

Log is deleted and I feel 100% better. Back to your regular pet peeve thread.
