07/14/2009 at 7:24 pm #1908675I have posted a few TFTC logs, and then pm’d the cache owner that has ‘0’ finds and 3 pieces of Gladware in a park. An elaborate log might do more harm than good!

You’re right. Sorry, it’s so hard to try to be stupid. I just don’t know how some people do it. Must come naturally.

am extremely peeved when a cacher types only “tftc” in their log.
I’m glad I post with “TFTH”. Actually, I normally end my posts with that.
07/15/2009 at 3:33 am #1908678Cache placers who rate their cache a 1 or 2, but it takes 8 people 3 hours over two days to find*****. All left, but one returned and the cache owner came along and gave hints.
TE07/15/2009 at 11:59 am #1908679Hmmm….. What to say? Should I stir the pot?
I use cut and paste logs. I start with the same for each of them. If I remember the specific cache I’ll add something about it. But …. on a long day with 40-50 caches, some of them get lost in the memory banks.
Heck! Even on a short day there are some caches that do not stick out. So what are you supposed to say!
I do not mind if I get cut and paste logs.
I’m a Stoic.
07/15/2009 at 2:38 pm #1908680I can’t believe this but I’m with Marc, on big number days the caches picked are generally not spectacular by any means and therefore rarely get much more than “#xyz on the day – tftc “.
There must be some sort of auto-logger that you can use (I thought cachemate?) but all mine are done manually so I make liberal use of cut/paste on those days.

TEHrmm…which one was this?
07/15/2009 at 7:04 pm #1908682With the exception of my ending line “Thanks for bringing me out here”, I’m not a cut and paster.
Even on a numbers run or at a quick P & G such as Lighthousenut’s Top Spot series or even at P & R’s, I always write something unique for that cache. I take a notebook with me and after I find/DNF the cache, I jot a note of that cache so I remember it.
As a result, I’ve had some cache owners send me an e-mail to thank me for writing an unique log because it gives them a reason to hide more caches instead of the typical “TFTC.”
Cache owners take the time to make the hide, especially in the remote areas, so I feel I should take the time to write an unique log for each one.
But I never had more than 21 or 22 finds in one day. We’ll see how that goes when I go on a day long run with 30+ caches.
07/15/2009 at 7:43 pm #1908683My pet peeve of the day: (maybe more of a safety concern)
1. Talking on a cell phone while riding a moped.
2. Texting while driving a moped.YES, I saw both of these (on separate occasions) today. UGH!
07/15/2009 at 9:51 pm #1908684I have a pet peeve……I named him George, and I try not to take him geocaching. He’s a little frustrating in public.
07/15/2009 at 10:42 pm #1908685My most recent pet peeve (usually re-occurs this time of year) is drivers that feel the need to share their choice of music with the world. When I have the windows of the burb up and the air conditioning on and I can “feel” the car next to me because the bass is cranked…well…it just makes me cranky…you wouldn’t like me when I’m cranky…but that’s a whole ‘nother list!
07/15/2009 at 11:52 pm #1908686My pet peeve is when someone makes Mrs. TBC cranky…

Are you sure you’re not from Milwaukee? Wait, is it rap?
07/16/2009 at 2:04 am #1908688It was in Marquette, MI.
