I was lucky enough to have my name drawn to receive one of the Petroglyph series coins to place in a cache in Wisconsin. There will only be 10 of them released for the United States. The following names were chosen.
CACHER ID * U.S. STATE REPRESENTED * PETROGLYPH COIN YOU WILL RELEASE
#1: The 4 F’s * Florida * “Big Dog”
#2: Cinema Boxers * Illinois * “Turtle Mountain”
#3: DWBur * Wisconsin * “Mountain Goat
#4: Anthus * Pennsylvania * “Bear”
#5: Crowesfeat30 * Missouri * “Thunderbird”
#6: Prince Shoko * Tennessee * “Big Dog”
#7: Mauison * California * “Turtle Mountain”
#8: Roboknight * Virginia * “Mountain Goat”
#9: The Amigos * Texas * “Bear”
#10: Toojin&Bart * Idaho * “Thunderbird”
The person that made the coins is giving the person that finds the coin the option of keeping the coin or moving it along. Because they are a really beautiful handmade coin, and there will only be 10 of them in caches, I think they will end up a FTF prize and wont do much traveling. To keep everything fair so members and premium members have an equal chance, I will be dropping it in an undisclosed cache, which is an option that was given to the people placing the coins.
Very cool. I look forward to some lucky dude or dudette’s posted picture of said coin. That’s nice of you to drop it off.
We received ours in the mail today – and will be placing it soon. Watch for cache logs as to where!
These are AMAZING! (Hand sculpted/painted coins – the person who sent them requests that whoever finds one please go to her site and ‘log’ it!)
There is a number on the back of the coin, and instructions are enclosed in the package.
