Okay, so I didn’t have my SD card in the camera when I took some cute photos. Now I’m trying to get those photos into my computer, but apparently the wonderful Windows Vista will not accept them from my Nikon Coolpix P80. Any ideas? Besides getting a different operating system?
This is shades of an old, old family story, only that time it involved forgetting to remove the slide on my 4 X 5 camera before shooting. I hate technology! 😉
Not sure, the information on the instruction sheet says that the images can’t be uploaded from the camera to a Vista computer. I tried looking for updates that specifically address that problem without success.
Maybe the friendly folks at the photo specialty lab can help me with this one. I can’t be the only one who’s ever done this. Can I?
usually there is a place in the camera menu to copy photos from internal memory to SD card or what ever memory card type you have, then they can be uploaded from the card.
I would be happy to come over and get them off for you on my laptop it still runs windows xp. I’m not terribly far away from you guys, or we could meet somewhere. Just let me know. also the specs page i saw for the camera says it is compatible with vista with a firmware upgrade, i could do that for you if you like also.
I looked for those upgrades Nate, I must have missed that. I’ll take a look like Barry said and see if I can find that option, too.
