In case you missed the listing of the event on geocaching.com and the unofficial announcement elsewhere in the forums, we are now accepting registrations for the Geo-Picnic. You can register on the event page on the WGA site:
Click on the “Add Registration” link.
Registrations will be accepted through September 12th.
If you don’t register, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have printed materials, nametags, and other supplies for you. Also, if you plan on getting WGA nametags at the Cache Ba$h in August, please don’t also request them on the picnic registration form. (You can always edit your registration if it turns out you miss the Cache Ba$h.)
And don’t forget to indicate the food item you plan to bring. We’ve enjoyed some great dishes over the years… an edible diorama / cake complete with satellites and mini-cachers at the first Geo-Picnic, jthorson’s M&M salads, birthday cakes from Decrepit, etc. OK, I have a sweet tooth and so I focused on the sugary desserts :), but plenty great food has always been one of the hallmarks of our Geo-Picnic. So dust off your recipe books and impress Wisconsin geocachers with your cooking skills.
Bump.
If you are coming to the Geo-Picnic, please register by the end of this weekend. I know the event page says registration closes today, but we are going to leave it open until midnight on Sunday (September 13).
If you don’t register, you won’t get nametags and may not get printed materials if a lot of other folks crash the party too.
If you have any last minute changes after registration is closed, contact the WGA Secretary (secretary wi geocaching com) or post the information on the geocaching.com event cache page.
And don’t forget about the 2009 Geo-Picnic After Party event (GC1XWKQ) being held Sunday morning after the picnic.
