😕 Anyone have any experience putting a cache on the small chunks of land marked with Public fishing and hunting access sign from the DNR.

These areas do not seem to be on the maps.

I am a bit hesitant to place a cache on what might be DNR property. Thanks. Pam

Here are the maps that the reviewers use to check to see if it is on DNR property or not: http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/facilities/dnr_lands_mapping.html

If it is on DNR property, it isn’t really a big deal to submit the form. Often the DNR folks that are in charge of these little bits of land have absolutely no concern for gecaching / geocachers, as they are usually spread pretty thin. Where you are most likely to encounter any resistance at all is at the major and popular state parks.

If you want, you can PM me the co-ords and I can check it out.
