I hosted a small event to get feedback for creating a Community Celebration Event to celebrate the first cache in Wisconsin. I’m posting here to start a conversation on what this will look like and to see if there is anyone out there that would like to be involved.

    Date I’m considering: Saturday June 14, 2025

    Location: Sheboygan County Museum grounds

    Activities:

    • Geocaching 101 Workshop
    • Compass Adventure Workshop
    • Geocaching Through the Years pop-up display (tech, containers, travel bugs, etc)
    • Geocacher “Baseball Card” making (theme of first geocache in WI)
    • Satellite Guided hikes through Tellen Sculpture Garden and to location of original/tribute cache
    • Trading Table
    • Creative log book
    • New local caches, themed by Sheboygan County History
    • Local food trucks/food

    Thoughts?

It is a great idea however, not many use the forums as much anymore.  Social Media took it over.  If you are on Facebook, I highly recommend posting this to “Geocachers in Wisconsin” to gain the most visibility.
