She was at Nelson Drewry State Park at a overlook and while taking picture she step on a rock and slip and went over the edge. Fell about 15 feet down and then rolled about 100 feet down the hill. Had to be airlifted to La Crosse hospital. She is improving every day.
We are stopping there tomorrow. I think I will be very careful. Will continue to be praying for June.

We’ll be stopping at Gundersen tomorrow after church for a visit. Do they make floral arrangements with signed logsheets that are listed on gc.com? If they didn’t get the state park cache signed, they should be given a “pass” for that one. It’s those “safe” spots where you get hurt….never the 5/5 cache. We’ll report back tomorrow evening.
Update June was able to stand for a few minutes today on one foot. Left leg is broken and will get fix in Madison this week. We should be back in Madison Tuesday. She is working hard to get better
It was good to see June (and Dave) and meet her sister today when I visited. Poor girl is pretty banged up but it was great to see a sense of humor about it all. That will go a long way toward faster healing, I’m sure. Having been on the other end of a (not nearly as serious) caching injury myself, I was more than happy to stop in and help pass a little of time with you all. Here’s hoping that getting back to Madison and getting that leg fixed gets you back out soon!
That’s such good news to hear that she was able to stand up! I had this vision that she was in a coma on a breathing machine and didn’t know how she was doing. Kim and I pray for a full recovery and are glad to hear you’re able to be transferred!
