Over the years of geocaching I have collected waypoints form various parks, fishing spots, and campgrounds that I want to keep. Does someone know how to make personal POIs so I can remove the waypoints from my GPSr

What software do you use to manage your geocaches/GPS?

I have a C330, and i make POI all the time, to download to my GPS. if you have GSAK, put the caches in GSAK do all the normal thing, and then i export a GPX/LOC file into a folder that i labeled StreetPilot Caches, and then have POI download that folder into the C330..

    maybe that might help you…

In GSAK you can create a separate database for your POIs. (Database -> New)

I have one that I call “Keeper Waypoints” where I keep among other things, my home and work coordinates, so wherever I am I can easily route myself home.

Whenever you use GSAK to send caches to your GPSr, after you’re done, switch to the keeper database and do it again. It won’t overwrite anything; it’ll just add the extra waypoints.

EasyGPS works nicely. I never tried GSAK, so I don’t know how it compares, but EasyGPS very. well, easy to use. It effortlessly downloads waypoints and track from your gpsr, and you can save them to a file. Open multiple instances of EasyGPS and you can cut, copy, and paste to your heart’s content to make custom files containing custom sets of waypoints. And it is completely free.

I think there is also a down load from the Gramin site for something too.
