Hi!
will be attempting a MI power Trail of 200+ caches. Would like to know how to, I think they call it cut and paste for multiple logs. I will be adding pics to specific caches in the trail, but the basic trail caches I would like to, I think cut and paste the log. I am not real computer savy so any help will be apprecaited. Thank You! srviveIf this is the way you choose to log: In your word document (Microsoft Word or whatever program you use), type up an initial log. When done:
Press the two keys “command and A” at the same time. This copies what you have just typed.
In your next log, place your cursor in the area where you want to place the same log information (cut and paste) and press the two keys “command and V” at the same time.
This will place the same log information that you copied.
You can then choose to modify a log if you like by adding something additional into the pasted log. ie. “Had 6 sasquatch cross the trail in front of me.”
Next time you log and paste, the original log you used remains the same until you copy a new one.
Hope this helps and someone may have an easier solution, but just in case.
Just type in the first log. When done, but before submitting the log, press CTRL+A to select all the text in the log. Then press CTRL+C to copy it.
The rest of Tom’s post is correct.What I did for the Brillion Bike Power Trail was this – in my first log, I wrote a detailed log about my run and how much fun I had, blah blah blah.
Then on subsequent logs, I just did a one line cut and paste “Find #12 of 34 for the day”.
Nothing much you can do for a power trail when every cache is the same and it is all a blur.
The worse you can do is piss off the CO with only a “TFTC” log entry. That type of log entry is a real slap in the face after all of the work that they do.
In my opinion, every cache deserves more that that.
