I had a miserable weekend. Nothing went right, dog ate my letterboxing stamp, sister in law in hospital…..it goes on and on.
So I decide that I’ll take one of my flex days from work and go do a little caching. Only problem? My PQ isn’t coming through. I could do the hand written stuff, but by the time I finish that, the day is gone, anyway. I have to have at least one of those listings to follow the instructions.
And our printer is in a room now occupied by my son and his family. I think I’ll just go back to bed!
Argh! Just had to complain a little. No one else would understand my frustrations!

Now that’s an original excuse! Do you have a back-up one to use? Got a new letterbox hybrid out. Is that one you needed the directions for? I can help you out there.
Hey, just drive over, we’ll do lunch, and I can send you back with some pages for caching on your away home. Unless that PQ was for the full 500 . . .
10/05/2009 at 2:13 pm #1914914I can use a manufactured stamp, have plenty of those. I have tried every which way to get the PQ to run and it won’t. Maybe I should take you up on your offer, Pat!
10/05/2009 at 2:19 pm #1914915Well, why not? 😀
10/05/2009 at 2:28 pm #1914916I’d say I’d go caching with you Trekkin as I’m sure we could come up with some you haven’t done around here yet, but I have to p/u the kids from school at 2:30-3ish.
10/05/2009 at 2:46 pm #1914917This is actually Birdin’, but believe it or not, we have found every cache within 50 miles except for a paddle cache downriver, three way up in Hatfield and one challenge cache we will never find.
So we aren’t the best folks for planning a local caching trip! LOL
And the stupid PQs have still not run. I’d just leave, but I sort of need the electronic download to the nuvi if I don’t want to get lost in some sandpit!
This was supposed to be a day to burn off steam from a lousy weekend. It’s not working out that way so far.

And in what location might you find some sandpit?????? Hmmmmm-mmmm?
Remember the old days when people had paper maps in the glove compartment of the car? We still have a few. And our ancient DeLorme is so beat up that the centerfold is in pieces with ragged edges, but it still works. We manage to get around.
Still time for lunch . . .
10/05/2009 at 5:18 pm #1914919More importantly how is the sister in law??
10/05/2009 at 5:25 pm #1914920Thanks for asking, Mike. It was a weird deal. She and my brother were at the airport, ready to head to a trade show in Atlanta. She just didn’t feel well, my brother went to the show and came home almost right away, because when she went in to the doctor, they hospitalized her. Turns out she had to have major abdominal surgery, and will be coming home today, hopefully. She won’t be able to eat real food for quite some time, and will be awfully sore. Not sure how long it will take her to mend, but it could have ended much, much worse, so we’re all glad she caught this.
They’d hoped to bring my parents down to visit and meet the new grandbaby. If we can figure out what to do with the stamp-eating dog, maybe we can make the trek the other direction instead. No one’s getting any younger!
