Below is a summary of those who posted where they are staying for the picnic. I’m curious who else is staying in the area, and where. I’d rather know if I have fellow geocachers around me than miss an opportunity to talk about Tupperware (without attending a Tupperware party.)
From the forum postings:

Site 16: Cheesehead Dave; Friday and Saturday
Site 14: Hotdogs
Site 12: Lightningbugs Mum; Friday and Saturday
Site 13: Doc; Friday and Saturday
Site 18: Jay Mills; Friday and Saturday
Site 22: lizs, dryfoot, maybe Mathman
Site 07: Ostracon, 2_UP_Geologists; Friday and SaturdayTrudy Camping: (Sadly, not Trudy and the Beast)
- Sleep Inn – Hillsboro: Jeremy

Country Livin’ Motel – Kendall: bnb (I think there may be an old lady (besides me) in a rocking chair at this place)Any others?
09/14/2007 at 1:34 pm #1878912I think Accordiongal is at 11? and DB’s buddy from MN, Oneied Cooky is setting up at my site at #13. Lots o’ good food and wine for Saturday night, so swing by and join the laughter. Tales of the Tupperware and ammo boxes are always good! We need lots of wood! ๐
09/14/2007 at 3:18 pm #1878913Just packed the car, and getting ready to go…. Be sure to take extra blankets.
I plan on being there tonight with a campfire and beer, and tall tales.
Only wusses will cancel due to the decreasing temps. I guess we will soon learn who the wusses are. ๐

And I was just going to cancel… but I don’t want to be labeled a wuss!

Couldn’t be any worse than Peninsula or the first time at Hartman Creek. Of course, at Peninsula I did wuss out and changed from camping to motel and this time, I went with motel from the start (but that is my daughter’s fault.)

So, is Oneied Cooky cooking for you all? He is the cook for MN events. I understand he makes great chili.
09/14/2007 at 9:30 pm #1878917Almost a shame we live so close (and have untrustworthy teenagers at home) or we’d be camping ourselves. Hey, Trekkin’ has done snow caves in 70 below weather, no one can get away with calling him a wuss (except me!)
See you all tomorrow!
09/14/2007 at 9:55 pm #1878918Speaking of a wuss. Did Justin cancel?
09/15/2007 at 1:44 am #1878919Yes..I’m rather irritated that we couldn’t camp over at the park..
But, at least I’m enjoying the heated pool, hot tub, comfortable bed, television, and Wi-Fi very much. The pains of hotel life.. ๐
09/15/2007 at 4:36 am #1878920We decide not to go do to me traveling out of state on monday and because there is an event within 10 miles of our home

Sorry you won’t be coming, but I can understand your thinking. Have fun at the other event!
