    Hi Helpful People!

I’m working on a geocaching presentation. In the past, I was able to save a web page as an image and paste it into my Power Point. Now, for some reason, I cannot. Anyone want to walk me through the steps?

    Thanks In Advance!

It’s been a while, but this should work. But I can’t verify it, as I don’t have Power Point any more.

    1. open the page you want to save.

    2. In the upper left corner of your browser, click “Save as”

    3. Click the drop down box marked “save as type”

    4. choose “PPT”

    5. click save

    Here’s how I do it…

    1. Bring up the web page you want.

    2. Press the “Print Screen” button on your keyboard.

    3. Bring up your Power-Point presentation to the page where you want the image, then simply paste the image in either using the “Edit” menu or

    4. You can then crop the image to get rid of the toolbar on the bottom and anything else that isn’t relevant to the slide.

You can also press Alt+PrintScrn to capture just the current window instead of the entire desktop which is what you get if you press PrintScrn by itself.

On the same subject, well now anyway. Maybe some of you techies can explain why my print screen feature never works on my home computer??? Is there something I need to turn on/off, like a preference setting or something?

I can’t tell you why only that your not alone. I had the same problem for about 1-2 months then it went away. I never found out what caused it or why it went away.

When we gave our presentation the other night at the library we ran into a snag, the computer would not play the power point… so we had to just go from there and hoped we covered everything before we went out and did the hands on part.
Guess I am saying make sure you have a back up plan in case the technology doesn’t work… kinda like carrying a compass in case the GPSr decided to act up.
