I’m hoping that there is someone located near my home who can help me out. After a long winter off with no caching, I tried to load some new coords into my GPS today. A problem arose when (after clicking on the “Send To GPS” button) I was directed to a box telling me to install the latest Garmin plug-in.

I don’t know why it was asking me to do this, but I tried several times to do what they were asking me to do, with no success. Obviously I’m doing something wrong, but I have no clue what it is. I’m about ready to give up.

Is there anyone else located near the Hartford area that could help me out with this…even possibly stopping by my house to show me what I’m doing wrong? I’ve posted a similar question on Groundspeak, and have gotten a few responses, but nothing seems to work. Until I get this figured out (or someone helps me with it) my not-yet-distinguished geocaching career is over 🙁

    Can someone help me??

I use the same model as you, but I use MacCaching. With that, I need to do the GPX exchange which puts the cache into MacCaching. Then I can upload it to my GPSr. That’s about all I can tell you. I’m not computer literate at all. You might want to try posting in the “Help” thread if you don’t get much for replies here.

This has been discussed before on here:

The send to GPS button located on every cache page works on Windows or Mac. You need to have the latest Garmin Communicator plugin installed, which can be found here:
