Just wondering if anyone knows what to do about this: Lately, when we click on the desktop icon for WGA (and sometimes other sites, but less frequently), the window opens, but is blank, and an error message says, “There was a problem sending the command to the program.” Closing and trying again always works ok, usually on the 3rd try, but it never takes more than 3 tries.. If we try it in Firefox, there’s never a problem. Sometimes, it opens fine on the first try in IE, especially when we’ve been on other sites for a while first. We were thinking maybe this is caused by some update that went slightly awry. We run Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop.
Actually, we might have it figured out. Setting IE as the default seems to have cleared up the issue. Not sure why this was not a problem until recently, though.
