For some reason lately the left side of most gc web pages is out of alignment on my pc. The left side of the page (approximately 1/3) is either missing or found at the bottom of the page. This makes reading the cache listing virtually impossible. As for clicking on “My Account” or “Hide And Seek A Cache” or any of the other buttons in that area, it is a guessing game. Sometimes they are there, some times not and sometimes they are found below the rest of the page. gc.com is the only website that i am having this problem with so i can’t believe that this problem is within my pc. This has been going on for a while now and i believe that if it was within gc.com itself, it would have been repaired by now. Is anybody else having a viewing problem like this? I am lost. Any help placing the puzzle pieces back where they belong would be appreciated.

There are many established threads on the GC Website forum related to this newly created issue (a recent update caused the issues…) Groundspeak appears to be working on it last i checked.

Here is a thread with a recent response from Groundspeak that a fix has been found but will not be implemented until “next week”.

There are release notes posted for a new update to the GC.com website today.

Resolving this issue is one of the items on the list.

strike that… it seems they backed out the update…

“Note: This release has been delayed until the following week. Please check back later for further updates. Thank you.”

For what it’s worth, it seems the misalignment is more of an issue when using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Page looks OK when using Mozilla Firefox.

Yep, that was acknowledged on the various gc threads regarding the issue. Both firefox and google chrome have no issues with this particular item.

    It’s still frustrating…

Just a quick note: If you use the split screen “Online Page” view in GSAK, you will also notice the misalignment. GSAK uses IE for generating this pane. Even if you have Firefox as your default browser, GSAK will still use IE in this context.

FYI – It sounds like this fix has been re-applied. I see at least one response that indeed the pages are no longer cutoff by IE.
