I was wondering what your projected selling cost of this is going to be. To me it looks like it might be fairly expensive to assemble. I would think if you are over the $20 to $25 range most people would think that was to much to try on something that they probally will not use very much.

Agreed. It looks like a very high quality item and not something that could be sold at a price that could make a profit and cater to the average Joe who might use it. That being said, I never could have pictured that I’d spend $30/yr for a premium membership to geocaching.com.
04/18/2008 at 2:46 pm #1887770The suggested etail price will be $50. Notice I said etail. The big box retailers would laugh me out of the store because the profit margin is to low. As we continue to grow our purchasing power will grow and the cost will come down. We are also looking for ways to reduce the cost so the etailers will be able to offer the holder at a price lower than suggested.

Got it in the mail yesterday, and although it looked like aluminum in the pic, it’s not.
04/19/2008 at 11:13 pm #1887773I got one the holders in the mail yesterday, and used it quite a bit today.
The holder was comfortable to use, but would have been better if the chest plate was form fitting, had some vent holes and a little padding.
The unit didn’t get in the way as much as I thought it would, and actually came in handy a few times.
My Magellan Meridian did not fit in the holder, but I was able to attach my car mount to it, so it worked fine.
I can’t say that I’d use it all the time, but it would come in handy on long hikes, and heavy caching days, though I’d still rather have one that attached to my forearm.
05/09/2008 at 2:57 pm #1887774I want to thank those of you who took the time to test the GPS holder. I am working on adding a shopping cart to the NoHandsGPS.com website. For now you can purchase the Holder on Ebay Item # 250245870065.
Again thank you!!!06/25/2008 at 4:03 am #1887775I am an inventor myself and would like to try your new product. As a fellow geocacher, I too need the extra hand and it would be “handy’.
Thanx,
