I did not have the opportunity to gun hunt this year. I have been doing it for all of my adult life. Circumstances did not allow me to do this this year. SO I found something else to do.

Anyway, I went caching instead. Did quite well in fact. Found a whole mess of them and didn’t even need to wear my orange hat too much. Because I used something that seems to be eluding people a lot these days. “Common Sense” Hmmmmm it’s hunting season, I guess I will cache in an urban area. Why because there are no hunters in town. At least not with loaded guns.

I guess you just have to take personal responsibility. We looked at all the cache pages prior to hunting them. When a town did not have any more caches that weren’t in a wooded area that was questionable we moved on. Those caches will be there another day.

I guess what I am saying is we all like the hikes to a spectacular place. But when there are other things involved we need to change the game plan a bit and make the most of the situation that we have. But most importantly use your “Common Sense.”

I got to agree with Cheeto, Zuma, and Hemi. I to have hunted in the past. This year I did not, as I was going to be out of town for most of that week, so I cached in Minnesota Instead. People do have to have Common sense, and use it! I have many pieces of blaze orange clothing, and if you don’t it is not a bad Idea to get some. It can be had very cheaply after the close of the gun Deer Season. I even wear it sometimes when it is not Gun Deer season, cause it is warm, and very visible. If something were to happen, this can be seen from Helicopter, and airplane.
