Ok, this is a serious question:
Has anyone EVER heard of a non-hunter getting shot by a hunter during gun deer season?
Do deer count as non-hunters? 😉 😉
I don’t shut down any of my caches during hunting. I thought about it the first year, but the ranger encouraged me not too.
I do ALWAYS have some warning text in the body of those specific caches. Then a few days before the season opens (aka yesterday) I post a log note “refreshing” the alert and I include a current DNR message/map for the specific park … example … http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=6ae54607-15d1-4a97-bef8-1ac29c8404ef

Ummm…ya. But it was stay bullet. A Doctor, driving just north of Rice Lake on Hwy 53 through some open farm land, was killed. 5 years ago or so.
