Merriam-webster.com has a nifty little way to get a definition for a highlighted word in your browser. I adapted it to bring up the google map for the highlighted coordinates. So for example, if there are parking coordinates listed in the cache description, or alternate coordinates listed in someone’s post, you can highlight the coordintes (using your mouse) and then navigate to the map for those coordinates by clicking on a button in your links toolbar (or by selecting the link from your favorites list).
To set this up, all you need to do is add a URL to your favorites folder. I haven’t been able to get that URL to display correctly using UBB, so I’ve set up a web page that has the setup information on it:
Setup Instructions
It’s a small little javascript, so you may get a warning which you can safely ignore. Best is if you add this to your “links” folder and then make sure you are showing the links toolbar. That way you can highlight the coordinates, and then just press the button on the toolbar to bring up the map.
Note that I’ve only tested this with Internet Explorer, but it probably works with other browsers. Also, my personal preference would be that it open a new browser window. I briefly experimented with that, but popup blockers got in the way. Maybe some javascript expert can make this happen or offer other improvements.
Any questions? Post them here I’ll explain in more detail. (Remember, there are no stupid questions ;-)). Also you might want to take a look at the merriam webster lookup button for more information: http://www.m-w.com/button

Edit: can’t get the URL to show with UBB so now link to separate page.
