How about 5/16 at the WGA Geo-Campout? What better time for a party?

Assuming about 250 finds/month, it would be June 1 or so if there were no complications. But I plan to take a couple of weeks off caching when Zumette is born in April, so I gotta figure June 14, at the earliest for me, and that is only if all the stars align properly and Robin doesnt make me take more than a day or two off for the wedding

….So late June or early July for me.

BTW, Lauryn Elizabeth (Wisconsin Zumette) is expected to arrive April 9th or 10th, and Robin’s father’s shotgun arrives in early June for a June 6 wedding, I have been told.

Let’s lighten things up a bit around here. Many know of the friendly competition between zuma and Honeybunnies. Each always wants to be one ahead of the other. Right now, Seth has the edge, but I suspect these two will try their hardest to hit 10,000 together.

As of this moment, 1/25/09, zuma has 8926 finds and THB has 8946 finds.

So…..post your prediction of the date one or the other, hopefully both together, reaches 10,000. I’ll find some sort of prize for the one who gets it closest. I’ll also pick a date to cut off predictions as that date grows closer.

Have some fun! Hopefully I’m not breaking some gaming law by doing this, but if so…….remove the posting!

Looks like Labrat_wr is going to be the winner here, with his prediction of June 21, since we are planning on finding the 10K cache on June 20th.

Please see our event in celebration of 10K finds: GC1RY4T

Both of us could have gotten there a bit sooner, but decided to lay off a bit until we could get a date where Robin and Marie are both off of work, and that day turned out to be June 20th.

Hope to see ya all there at the Natural Bridge on the 20th for our event.

Darn, darn, DARN!!! We’re doing the re-enactment at Prairie du Chien that day! I wonder if we could sneak away for some of the day to join you. Guess we’ll have to see what that day brings.

There are plenty of re-enactments down the way ….. but only one 10000 cache. I suggest you do a skeddadle, and skip roll call for the day.

Ummmmm….Seems to me there is a perfectly good EarthCache there to find as 10,001 or as 9,999… 😈

I’m looking forward to lots on logs to read at my EC listing after the event….bring your cameras everyone!

Yep, that is the plan: Do the EC after the milestone.

Weird to quote myself to answer you but it seems your Forum Superpowers have allowed you to edit my post with your response….LOL.
I’m glad you chose this under-viewed park; it is an exceptional location with a 10,000 year old history of folks stopping by….I honestly couldn’t think of a better place!

wow….I have no idea how that happened…I didnt purposefully used any forum superpowers, just wrote a quick response. Surprized to see the way it came out…Must be a glitch….Anyway, I am happy that we can do the EC for 10001, and hope ya make it.

I hope to be there….so far the calendar looks clean…and my wife really wants to see the park!

10,000 finds. I don’t know how some of you manage numbers like that. At some point it must become more occupational than therapeutic (maybe it is therapy), but there you are still out doing it and getting, from what I can tell, the same amount of satisfaction from 9,995 as you did from number 5. It’s bloody well extraordinary! I might actually try to swing a visit on this one… will have to see.

The more the merrier, everyone. Rain or shine it’s going to be a lovely day with fine company.

It’s June now. Still a few more finds needed by both teams to get near the 10,000 mark. Will they get there in time? The pressure is on!

Ahem… Correction, I got 46 while you guys got 63. Lots of covered territory for me, but it’s one of the prettiest parts of the state. Still a plus.
