I didn’t see an event cache posted for this, but ran across it in the paper:

    RACINE PUBLIC LIBRARY
    75 7th St., Racine. Call 636-9241.

Geocaching. 2-3 p.m. July 28. Families are invited to participate in local treasure-hunting.

I couldn’t find any info on their website, but I didn’t look too hard.

EDIT: I just found this link. Registration is required:

Not sure who is putting this on, but its not me. I’m doing the Kettle Moraine one on the same day.

Hmmm…I didn’t know there was one out there. Goes to show you that I don’t know all the features of gc.com yet… 😳

The Racine class is probably not a geocaching event. Most likely it’s a presentation about geocahing put on by the library (hopefully someone who geocaches!)

I did a presentation at a library about a month ago. It was attended by people wanting to know more about geocaching. Therefore, I didn’t list it as an event (although it would probably have a had a few more people then! 😀 ). It was a very basic presentation with only 6 temporary caches hidden (and pretty easy hides at that), so I could handle it myself.

The Kettle Moraine event is much larger and needs a little extra help. The event listing just helps get the word out and get the needed assistance (thanks to all that are helping!! It’s a really fun time. Wish I could make it this year.)

That’s right in our neck of the woods. We may have to just stop down to check this out to see who’s conducting it and what they share.
