Saw on the news this morning that the Rama cult has a hit list of Shawano County leaders. There is a cache next to their property, that was placed recently, one geocacher was allready followed by them beware of this one if you try it. GC1HVNG Top Spots: 54166

Holy Cow!!! Talk about not being worth the risk!! I wonder if they have any other caches nearby. My wife and I were just up in that area the first weekend of August for our anniversary weekend…I’m glad we were commited to doing “other things” that weekend and that caching was not on our “to do” list, because I’m sure I would have attempted that one.
Fitting that you should mention cults when the 30th anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre is coming up this Tuesday.
I know geocaching is “at your own risk” but maybe this cache should be moved. I’m sure there’s another stop sign on the road that could be used!
On the Left Side of the Road...Personally, I feel that the freedoms of law abiding people should not be abridged by the actions or threatened actions of wackos and cultists, so I will add this one as a must do next time in that area.

Wow I was so thinking just the opposite…I guess this is one of the rare times where I disagree with you…I think it’s a dangerous place for a cache. I’d fall short of saying it should be archived but I do think one should think carefully before going after it AND be informed on the cache page that it borders a questionable property.

That cult owns a lot of shawano, Team Margaritaville lives nearby and has pointed out some places as we were caching. I thought I read somewhere that the guy who started it lives in NY and doesn’t even practice what he started?

….I once found a cache on the edge of a nudist colony’s property…and now that I think about it one overlooking a nude beach as well…hummmm; not quite the same kind of hazard though….I think the worst that could happen there is that they could ask me to play some volleyball…
