A friend of mine in the military had contacted me and wants to know any worthwhile caches todo in Milwaukee/Kenosha area that are winter-friendly? They are going to be coming up Christmas-New Years. Do any of you have any suggestions?

What types of caches are they looking for? Micro’s, Traditionals, Multi’s, Puzzles, Virtuals. Are they numbers people? Long hikes, Short hikes, Terrain? You can give them a head start on “Baffled & Bewildered” GCN8MV and that might be the only cache they’ll get done. LOL
they are from CA and haven’t actually gone caching in the winter before so i think that easy caches would be good!
Taking a different approach, I really enjoyed finding the 5 caches in the Retzer Nature Center in the deep snow. The center also rents snowshoes (which I found out after I finished!) Have him start with GCVQQW and work around to the other 4 caches in the park. Note that these are not particularly winter friendly caches, but they are winter findable and would give a taste of what winter caching in Wisconsin is about.
Well there’s only about 1000 caches in the area you mentioned. LOL
I would depend mostly on how many they want to get and the weather. I know Bong State recreation area West of Kenosha has about 20 in it. Petrifying Springs (PETS) between Kenosha and Racine has about 15 or so.
Cliffside Park North of Racine has about 8 or so and a great view of the Lake.
Prairie Springs Park just West of Kenosha has about 12 or so.
Benders Park South of Milwaukee has 7 or so and another great view of the Lake.
Greenfield SW Milwaukee area and the Waukesha area West of Milwaukee are loaded. Between those two areas and 2 days you could score upwards of 50 easy.
Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit SWW of Milwaukee has around 20 or so.
The caches are there. If you can find out more details of the type of caches they might like someone could run a PQ for them or they could do it themselves based on the area they will be closest to.
Now if there is snow on the ground they list will need to be amended for off the ground caches or have a guide that has done the caches they are seeking to provide assistance.
