We’ll be in Madison on Wed., 9/1, and would like to grab a few caches. We won’t have time for any significant hikes, so we’d like to stay with urban hides. Any good areas where we could find several from one parking place?
There are a couple of virtuals on the uw campus that you could walk to that weren’t overly long hikes. There’s a webcam down there too.
Thanks-we’ll check those out!
There really is no place in madison with a concentration of caches. There scattered all over town. If you check out McFarland just south of madison or Stoughton again just south you can make quite a few park and grabs within a short distance of each other.
Madison really does not have the concentration of caches you find in other municipalities. That’s another story. McFarland and Stoughton are good. Also, Middleton which adjoins Madison is another place with more caches. We have done quite a few out that way.
