I am checking with the other Board members which may take a day or so, but my guess is that this is some kind of computer glitch, and there will be no actual referendum on this topic. This was discussed as an option a very long time ago, the board decided against this course of action, and the issue was put to rest. No one on the board has discussed it for at least a year, and maybe even 2 years.

I have to assume this is some kind of glitch in the system, as there has been no board action to present a referendum along these lines at this time.

Once we get to the bottom of it, we will let you all know what happened here. Right now, I do not know how this very old issue got dredged up at this point in time.

This was an old referendum that was entered in the system long ago but not activated or officially approved by the Board. The start date was set into the future (2009)… so it didn’t appear on the site until now.

It is NOT an official referendum and has been removed. The Board clarified the status of non-residents (individuals who are not Wisconsin residents) who want to join the WGA in 2008.

So nothing to see here… but good eyes spotting this Marc. 🙂
