Are people using the regional forums as much as expected? I have not had many responses or answers to questions when I have used them so far. Wondering if most are reading just their region or checking out the other ones too?
01/26/2007 at 12:59 am #1769245I check out all of them when there are new posts (because I’m nosy!)
But I think the use of the regional forums is as I thought it would be.

01/26/2007 at 1:34 am #1769246I read all when new posts. I’m kind of on the border of many regions.
01/26/2007 at 1:52 am #1769247I like having the regional forums there. They are not being used as much as they could be but maybe it will just take more time to get people into it. But we are doing some CITO planning on the Northeast region forum and feel it is a great tool for it.
Yes I know that it could be done on the main forum as well but at least it can stay local when it needs to.
01/26/2007 at 2:04 am #1769248I tend to scan the regional forums on occasion, but they’re not terribly active. We have a separate forum down by the Cheddar Curtain that gets used frequently.
01/26/2007 at 2:38 am #1769249I check out my area regularly. They are not as active as I thought they might be when I suggested them. However, I still see their value. I enjoyed using them when I recently traveled out of my area.
01/26/2007 at 2:08 pm #1769250I think they are doing what they where intended to do. But the northern boards will not get hit as often just because there is not as many members in these regions. Somewhere, someone ran the stats, and they where very low membership numbers for the “North”.
01/26/2007 at 2:41 pm #1769251I typically browse the north central and northeast forums when I see new posts. Mainly because we cache frequently in the northeast and occasionally in the north central areas.
01/26/2007 at 7:58 pm #1769252It looks to me like the northern tier is getting a lot more activity than the southern.

This is most likely because as Rogheff Stated
We have a separate forum down by the Cheddar Curtain that gets used frequently.
I would believe this at least holds true for Southeast WI. Cannot speak for the Southwest.
01/26/2007 at 10:22 pm #1769254the volume seems lower than I thought it would be … been then again, I think the entire WGA volume has gone down in the last few month … not that this is bad … it seems like the forums having been sticking on subject better lately and have focuses on more positive/constructive comments.
01/26/2007 at 11:06 pm #1769255I also read NE and NC regional forums along with most of the the other ‘regular’ ones. I don’t post a lot of responses to any of them… but I do appreciate the local discussion about the areas we cache in most of the time.

01/26/2007 at 11:24 pm #1769256It’s winter and some aren’t caching as much. Let’s see what they are like when there are lots of spring/summer events and other activity.
