How many people on here are into reloading ammo? I do .45acp and 9mm at the moment, but have .40 s&w and .308 dies with no intentions of using the .308 dies.

.270 Win & .357 Mag (also 38 Special for the same gun). I also have 30-06 dies but lack the brass (my dad’s gun) and .300 Win Mag dies (never used them – dad’s gun again).

    And I have the primers. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Speaking of 9mm … I have 50-100 once fired brass cases and 20+ white cardboard storage boxes (Midway USA – http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=314443) you can have.

I reload for quite a few.

    I load:
    .45ACP
    .45-70 Govt.
    357 Mag
    357 Max
    30.06
    44 Rem Mag.
    7MM-08
    7-30 Waters
    32H&R Mag
    30 Carbine
    22-.250

I am sure there are some that I am forgetting…….

I use all RCBS, or Lyman Dies.

UH OH – Green vs. Red – This sounds just like the tractor debates.

    I’m GREEN also though. πŸ˜†

My list looks a lot like KORPL’s
    .45ACP
    9mm Luger
    357 Mag, 38 Special
    308 Win
    30.06
    44 Rem Mag., 44 Special
    7MM-08
    7mm Rem Mag
    351 Win
    8mm Mauser
    30 Carbine
    .243 Win

I use RCBS or Hornady dies
I use a Dillion RL550B progressive press for loading and a Hornady Lock & Load quick change single stage press for brass prep.
I bought a lot of primers back when Bill & Hillary were in power so I have a good supply of primers. They are available again after being almost unavailable anywhere for the last 2 years.

In Appleton Sheels is probably the best place for components and Gander Mountain (they are pricey).

http://www.bluepress.com is a good website for reloading equipment from Dillion

Looks like Justin and Sloughfoot both have loaded a few. πŸ˜† This weather is keeping me from testing my 9mm loads. πŸ˜•

Yep, it’s another fun past time…

I haven’t bought any primers in quite a while. Think the last time I did, I was paying 19.99 per thousand.

Haven’t bought for probaly four years or so though.

That was the “good ole days”. Closer to $30 / 1000 now that things stabilized, but went over $40 / 1000 right around election time.

Wow, I guess. Good thing I have around 15,000 Loaded rounds of 45ACP, My favorite Handgun round…

I shoot Indoor Bullseye Pistol League, so I have enough for about two to three years worth of League shooting.

They are pretty low velocity loads. Just enough to cycle the action, and hit the target down range.

Boy, that is sure a spike in price. Although, a good friend of mine tells me how in the late 70’s Early 80’s, the prices were up there, and they were rationing them. You could only buy 500 of a type. Sm. Pistol, Lg. Pistol, Mgn. Pistol, Large Rifle, Small Rifle…

What are you launching those 9mm Handloads from Mike?

I figure on using my Ruger P89 stainless. Pretty much built like a tank. I picked up some CCI primers for $28 a thousand after tax in Green Bay.

What are you using for powder and bullets for the .45acp Justin? I am using 4.4 grains of Bulls Eye with 230 grain Berry’s RNDS plated bullets. I am thinking of even backing down a bit more before I load a bunch.

I am using the same amount of BullsEye with the 9mm and 124 grain Berrys RNDS bullets too, but haven’t shot any yet. I may well back them off before loading a bunch.

I use several different loads for the 45 acp, sometimes I like to just try new things.

I have a Colt in which I shoot cast 230 gr rn bullets using 5.5gr of WIN231 powder. I always use Rem 2.5 primers. You can usually get the cast bullets at gun shows pretty reasonable.

I also have a Glock in which you aren’t supposed to shoot cast bullets so I use 230 gr clad or jacketed bullets and 4.0 gr of Sporting Clays shotgun powder.

I have a very nice Browning Hi-Power 9mm with a black slide and a stainless bottom that will shoot just about anything you put in it. I have used WIN231, Unique and I have even used Hi Skor 700X shotgun powder with good results.

I don’t load anything that isn’t in the load manuals or possibly someones favorite loads from a shooting magazine.
