Greetings, all! We are Homer’s Pack and we are a trio of geocachers relocating from Denver, CO towards the end of April to the Madison area. The trio consists of myself (Chris), my significant other (Tina), and the namesake of our group, our yellow lab Homer. Homer and I have been active in the hobby for about 7 or 8 years now. Tina is fairly new to it, but has caught on quickly. We look forward to meeting other cachers in the area, as well as exploring our new state through geocaching.
03/24/2015 at 12:30 pm #2037766Hello, welcome to the area. I moved the to Madison area about two years ago and still have plenty of caches to find around here. Hope to run into you on the trails sometime.
03/24/2015 at 1:40 pm #2037768Madison is great! We are there often as half of our relatives live in Madison or the surrounding communities. Great caching. Perhaps we will see you sometime on the trail in that area.

03/24/2015 at 2:55 pm #2037771Welcome to the Badger State! I don’t get to Madison much but may see you at an event. Hopefully the snow will be gone by your move.
03/24/2015 at 3:17 pm #2037772Lots of great caching in your new home’s area. Thanks for coming here (to the forums) and to WI.

03/24/2015 at 3:37 pm #2037773Welcome to Mad town and this great state of Wisconsin. The cachers in and around Madison are the best. We are friendly and helpful. Hope to see you at an event sometime. I am in McFarland just a hop, skip and a jump south of Madison.

03/24/2015 at 7:35 pm #2037778Welcome to Dane County. I live in Stoughton, about 20 minutes to the Southeast of Madison. Where in the Madison area will you be located?
Anyways, Madison is a great city. Lots of kind people always willing to help out at a moment’s notice. Two great lakes surround the UW (which is nothing short of an amazing, but good, madness on gameday!). Recreationally speaking, Madison is also superb. Blue Mound, Devil’s Lake, and Indian Lake are just a few of the best hiking and caching destinations around the area.
I hope your transition is smooth and relatively stress-free.

03/25/2015 at 9:52 am #2037825Welcome to the land of 14-ners. (no, not mountain elevations, I’m talking about the temperature) I hope you & Tina & Homer enjoy your time here!
03/25/2015 at 10:43 am #2037832Hello Homers Pack and welcome! This message coming to you from Colorado Springs as I’m visiting my brother, we grew up in Loveland. Nice to see another face from CO around here! I live in Eau Claire, WI now so I may not run into you on the trails but maybe at an event? The next WGA event is the spring campout in the Appleton area, hope to see you there. If you’re feeling homesick consider taking a trip to Devil’s Lake, not quite the elevation but still the rocky trails may remind you of home.

05/19/2015 at 4:23 pm #2039946Welcome to MadTown! Have lived here almost 30 years now, but just started caching less than a year ago. Wondering where to meet other geocachers, so maybe I will see you around.
