It has been noted that some WGA members are unsure of their membership status. If you are one of those cachers, renew now. Three things I do every New Years.. Update my resume, renew my WGA membership and kiss my wife.

When I person hits the [Renew] button … assuming they just fill in their “Nickname” and “Password”; do all their past entries in the OTHER fields on the screen stay intact, or do they all reset to “blank” unless you fill them in again?

Maybe this is a stupid question, sorry if it is.

Also: I had no clue until now that you need to Renew, I would have never thought there’d be a reason to ever go back to the “Membership” screen after I joined. Maybe that’s why people are not renewing, I don’t see any intinctive reason to think I’d need to.

Ron,
You will see four buttons on the bottom of the page: “Register,Renew,Update and delete.” The “renew” button only changes the expiration date. The update button overwrights existing data.

The need to renew membership was written into the bylaws of the organization by the Board of Directors. The purpose was to remove “deadwood.”

I would love one the stats hunters to go down that list to see how many of those cachers have logged a cache in the last month or two.

Looks like a lot of dead wood to me.
