Are you referring to her or your behavior?

Both! During the hiding weekend for the WGA campout, I hid about a dozen caches. It involved a lot of walking and waiting for GPS calibration, and, she has, as you might assume, the patience and stamina of a six-year-old child.

I plan on having her at the WGA campout, and if she can behave and not get too much out of sorts, then she can come up to Rock Island. She knows Beth a little, and having other kids there will be a good thing.

Emily was very well behaved at the hiding day! There will be dozens of other kids there to play with. Many will only be able to tolerate a handful of caches and may want to spend the remainder of the time playing in the sand or on the play equipment at the campout. However, to bring this right around back on topic, my kids ofen will be happy with a bucket, shovel and some driveway gravel. They’ve spent entire camping vacations digging up the gravel on the campsite and sifting it into sand, then selling the rocks to the neighbors!

One of these year I will do this. However right now I would have a difficult time minimizing my camping gear to keep me and the family happy and still have room for beer. I think once John can walk well enough to carry a twelve-pack we’ll make a go of it!

just have to minimize the packing or get a boat to use.

I want to attend this event, but I don’t beleive my poor little car would be able to make it unfortunately.

I will be going through Milwaukee on my way there and could easily make room for one cacher with camping gear. Feel free to e-mail me via geocaching.com if you are interested.
