I haven’t done much caching for the last few years so the few caches I’ve looked for have been loaded into my gps manually as waypoints. I’m looking to change that and go full automatic so I need to learn how to download a PQ to my map64. The instructions say (hint) that a PQ can be downloaded to a gps, they just don’t say how.
What am I missing ?
I’m pretty sure I know the answer to the above question and have already lost interest in it. My next question is, how do you change where the PQ results are sent. At the end of the form it says you can add additional email addresses. The computer I use everyday is a chromebook but I have a backup which is a windows system, I seldom use it but it is up to date and has a different email address. When I try to add that address to the PQ it asks for my geocaching password and when that is entered it says that it is wrong. No matter what password is used it is always wrong, I even changed (updated) my geocaching password, it was wrong.
The password issue maybe a glitch with geocaching.com’s system. Best to send a request to them for help.
Otherwise, I know a lot of people have their e-mail set up on multiple devices. That way you could send to just one and access from multiple places.
The views expressed here are that of myself only and do not necessarily represent that of the WGA board.
Thanks.
The reason for different email addresses is so that if malware invades one the other may still be operable. As for contacting Geocaching.com, they are probably too busy seeing that everyone gets their participation souvenirs to worry about glitches and also I’ve now discovered that PQs show up on my phone as lists so why bother with them at all.
