We’ve had our eye on this cache and some others down that way.

With it being spring break, wondering if the waters are too high to safely approach it right now? We do both own chest waders, so that’s not the issue. More a matter of can we wade to it without fear of being swept away? Thanks, if it’s too high, we’ll go later this year.

The water isn’t high right now, you should have no problem accessing the cave. The entrance is right at river level, so it doesn’t take much of a rain to make things muddy or under water.

We were just there on Sunday and it is very accessible. However your wet will get a little muddy walking to the cave by the lake but inside is cold and dry. Great view of the Sugar River and surrounding area. The trek from the parking spot to the cache is not that bad either … all dry 🙂

Thanks for the info….hoping to get down that way soon. We’d consider the event in the area, but it’s the same weekend as my storytelling conference. 🙁
