The race is done and it was quite a nice turnout. Labrat and sons did a fine job in their races and they won a nice prize to boot.

Why did I not train with hills….Sheesh but hey it was a good run and well worth all the effort put in, so I could just finish. Then for some reason I won a years membership to a fitness club. I think the deck was stacked on that one. I will use that over the winter to get some swimming laps.

    Thanks to all our sponsors.

very impressed by the turnout! nice day for a run(walk, walk some more) run some. Upper 60s and overcast was fine. Now if someone can fix all those Hills!

wanted to stop after the first 2.5miles but I signed up for the 5miles and dadgumit, I wasn’t going to stop. made the 5 under 1 hour, thought that was pretty good for not training as much as I should have.

thanks Jim for posting this in the first place and letting me know about it.
many fundraisers get missed because of lack of notification and this one is too important to be missed.

okay, now how long does the pain last, and when can I expect to walk again?

Still, my pain will go away. my prayers go out for those whose lives are daily impacted by pain and other difficulties.

    Pete,

I had a very similar thought today as I was hard pressed to get myself to do anything more than mow the lawn. My short living pain will go away, and it is a small price for me to pay to help raise the funds for something so personal to myself.
