The other day I got a message from Sandlanders (Pat) saying that she and Mark were planning to search the asterism Ursa Minor for their 3500th geocache. The star that they had marked a course for was Kochab GC24TTQ, a system that I myself have only visited in dryer and whiter seasons. I offered up some suggestions for interstellar journeys that might be less strenuous, but the dynamic duo from the land of sand were set on this one. They overcame trails that weren’t trail-like, hordes of insects, blood-sucking arachnids, and boot-sucking muck, but they were undaunted by all these and successfully completed their mission.

That looks like a decent bushwhack, very impressive! Congratulations on your milestone. Great log with lots of pictures!

Congrats Pat & Mark – there was almost an actual path for you to take in there!
Congrats Pat & Mark!!!
I think it sounds like you had quite a journey to finding this one, very milestone-worthy! Keep reaching for the stars!
WTG!
looks a little like the hike to “logging a really purdy spot” but about 3x the distance.
Congratulations on #3500 to a couple of really nice folks.

Congrats! Caches that don’t get found often make a great milestone choice.
Congratulations! Next thing you know, you guys will be climbing up trees! Looks like a great adventure.
