Here’s an amusing log by someone who at first appeared to be clueless, but because of his GPSR, ended up looking like some kind of technology wizard.

That’s cute…
😆
Hmm, that’s serendipity. I got stuck (okay, my van did) hiding one of the night caches for the Chippewa Valley event. I called AAA; they asked where I was (the road was unnamed). I said I could give them coords, but they said the couldn’t use them, they needed road names. 3.5 hours later the towtruck showed up.
Too funny! Amazing how we can sometimes be “lost” in plain site.

One would think that Triple-A would by now train their dispatchers on how to search with coordinates.
I know I rely on our GPS’s to make sure we’re never lost and to be able to give that information to those who we pay(be it taxes or for other 3rd party services) to help us if need be. If I ever need to call Triple-A I’ll have to ‘test’ them out with giving them coordinates and see what happens 🙂
I see there’s a window cleaning services in the Milwaukee area, that advertises on their trucks that they are “GPS Dispatched”.
If they can do it, why can’t a tow truck … but of course, window cleaning is much more of an emergency situation. Or, maybe it’s for those that just want a specific window cleaned.
