Cache had a few no finds so I went there to check things out this morning. Cache was indeed missing. Replaced it with an ammo box. An odd coincidence. The cache was the original ”Gone But Not For Gotten” cache. After a prairie burn, I rescued it and rehid it as the Gone But Not For Gotten Project. Today it is being rehidden on 911. Coincidence? I sure didn’t plan it that way!
This is a great area that I would have never seen if not for this cache. For anyone that enjoys natural areas in a setting that also provide interesting historical information- this cache is a “must do”.
This is in an area that I know well from previous hiking trips. That’s why we chose it for our first find last May. Glad to see it’s still active!!
