I’m just wondering if anyone knows the correct procedure for when a seasonal access cache is out of season. Do you disable the listing or just put an update on the page saying it is out of season?
I am worried if I disable it, after some time a reviewer may think I’m failing to do maintenance. Thanks for any info.

Disable it and put a note on the logs and page saying it is out of season and will be back later. The reviewer won’t do anything so as long as you post an update now and then to show you are still active.

Edit: I had to do this when I found out there would be construction at a cache site of mine. The construction was supposed to last 6 months, so I initially disabled it and posted periodic updates, then I found out the construction would take longer. I made the decision to archive then.

We have a few caches that are not winter friendly. We just post a note on the cache page stating that they are disabled for the winter months. When the snow is gone we activate them and have never had a problem with the reviewers.
