Secret T-shirt cache

For those that didn’t hear, we placed a secret cache for the Geo-Campout. The perceptive geocacher may have noticed the coordinates on the T-shirt logo were different then the published coordinates for the event. There was also an extra “blank” on the tally board that had a picture of a T-shirt on it.

The Secret cache was hidden in the S/W corner of the park. Inside were some certificates for the first finder, and the next 4 or 5 finders. I’m not quite sure if anyone would have discovered it on their own. It sounds like a few seeds were planted to get people thinking.

We had some low down sneaky caches at the picnic, and this was one of them

On a related note, I ended up bringing home the secret container. I thought the secret cache container looked familiar. Some old coordinates were written on the lid. After punching the coordinates in the GC.com search, I discovered this was one of the containers for “Pike Powder Hike”. How ironic, Pike Powder Hike was my family’s very first geocache, and Wisconsin’s oldest cache still in operation

I just looked at my new campout shirts for the first time as I was dropping them into the washer. It is a way better looking shirt than I was expecting!

A big thanks to the people who were involved with the shirts! Could someone mention names, please?

We were given a slight hint. We noticed that the buttons were different than the shirts and hoped to find one at the shelter too. (hee hee) We were glad for the hint as our goal was to find as many as possible.

Neat ideas shone through at the campout! What creativity!
