Hello all! I recently received the link below at work as a Sheboygan County Employee. To me it sounded like a great way for geocachers to give their input and hopefully keep policies from restricting our activities. The information gathered from this survey will be used in the update of the Sheboygan County Outdoor Recreation and Open Space Plan. It doesn’t sound like you need to live in Sheboygan County as long as you engage in outdoor recreation here. If you have two minutes, I think it’s worth a look. Thanks!

Well I put my two cents in. While not a resident, I do have family in the city and have geocached with my brother there. One thing I’m big on and did mention is the need for more dog parks. Since geocaching, I’ve found more neat places to go back to with my dog. So much so that it has cut into my geocaching. But, I treasure our hikes together. Gotta find more dog friendly caches!!

I lived in Sheboygan for over a year and visited many of thier parks regularly. I too put my two cents in. It didn’t mention anything about geocaching so I put it in a couple of response areas. Look forward to seeing what comes of this!

I too live in Sheboredom. I put in my responses. I found this city intolerable until i started caching (mostly in other communties).

Yeah, the survey doesn’t specifically mention geocaching or mountain biking for that matter! I made sure I “plugged” both in the write in section at the end of the survey. I responded from work where I received the survey. I’m looking forward to getting an E-mail back from the committee doing the survey asking the inevitable question “What’s geocaching?” That would be a good thing!
