I have some great ideas for puzzle caches located on local DNR land utilizing shooting, hunting, caliber statistics, and related facts. I’ve been searching around and haven’t found anything similar or notes saying if this is allowed / disallowed given the subject nature. Does anyone have any input on the concept?
The only limitations I’m aware of is that there cannot be an “agenda” and it should be in line with being a family oriented game. I don’t see why your puzzle idea would cause any concern at all.
I can’t see why there would be any issues, unless you structure your puzzle to somehow promote or discourage hunting. Simple fact lookups would not be an issue.
One idea is to chronicle the story about last year’s gun deer season. Let’s just say it involved my good rifle, an 8 pointer that became 4, a pickup driven by my father, and a rather large “CRUNCH”.
Aside from that thoughts include “lessons” on Minutes of Angle (MOA), recoil, reloading, etc. There’s a ton of great info out there and the ties to DNR land would be perfect. I didn’t see anything in the guidelines to discourage it, but thought I’d put out some feelers first.
