Should the WGA produce and sell a new geocoin in 2010?

Bringing this BOD “Candidates Corner” question to the masses so all members can respond and not just the candidates. This post is really not meant to be a debate, just a simple vote and thread allowing others to express interest in a new WGA coin.

Should the WGA produce and sell a new geocoin in 2010?

Per Zuma:
In the past the WGA has produced and sold 4 different designs of a WGA geocoin, including:

2008 The Cow Coin, designed by LDove.

2007 The State Symbol Coin, designed by Cinema Boxers.

2006 The Pennisula Park Campout coin, designed by PCFrog.

2005 The Original Wisconsin Gold WGA Coin.

I say yes. It should be something with the EAA on it so there is a airplane on it. LOL

I think I’d be interested in hearing the reasons for anyone voting “no”. Just curious as to the other opinion.

We bought eight of the 2007 coins from the WGA website and a couple more at events. We didn’t get quite as many of the 2008 coins, but I wish we had gotten more since we gave them all away except one of each.

Something on the order of the 2007 coin would be fantastic. It represented Wisconsin well and was a great looking coin too.

I personally loved the design of the 2007 coin. I just joined in on the fun last year and was slightly disappointed that there wasn’t a 2009 coin. I know of a few other people that just started last year that hadn’t had a chance to buy a coin before.

yes we should make a coin, and for those who have not yet noticed, the geocoinfest this year is in nearby Minneapolis in September.

I know this is a topic for a different thread, but I would REALLY like to see a “project” coin for this event.

I probably should have said “group project” coin. Something like the 2008 cheezehead parrot that was done for MWGB. One design with custom colors, engraving or printing for individual cachers.
