Lot of melting ice and snow in Eau Claire. Lots of dog dew now exposed, and ready for me to pick up. The dogs love watching their “master” scoop up all their poo. Makes ya wonder who the true master is.

03/14/2008 at 3:17 am #1886267Saw full asphalt on our street today for the first time since December 1.
Our potholes have been ones in the ice that never really got the chance to leave the roads.
Now the snow melt is making alluvial deposit patterns in the season’s sand dump in the street as the water finds its way to the storm drains. Could be an earthcache in that.

Oh… These Bunnies are what Garfield wears … when he needs a cup of coffee early in the morning.
Do you look like this in the morning? .. ๐
This was the sign of his favorite brand. Wonder where that is and is it still there? …. ๐ … ๐
.03/27/2008 at 4:20 pm #1886269Our Baseball Season started here in NJ … the usual parade of Little Leaguers and Old time Ball Players. Some old time Ball Player Sponsored Archived Ads …….. were posted. Here are a few.
Batting Instructions by DiMaggio and the Camels he smoked.
Then of course, Lucky Strike had to have one of their own.
Chesterfields showed every major sport athlete smoked theirs.
Then those Wheaties Ads became popular and for some reason all those Sport coaches were still “lighting up” on the side lines. ๐ … ๐
.. .04/01/2008 at 2:04 am #1886270SPRING?????WHERE?????? I now know what you guys down south feel! It hasn’t stopped snowing since Noon!!
04/01/2008 at 3:05 am #1886271I drove from northwestern Wisconsin all the way down to Iowa City today (and picked up 31 caches!) I went from winter (people were still driving on my lake yesterday) to finding the first robins around Hudson, first red-wing blackbirds around River Falls, first ducks around Lacrosse, and then even my first spring peepers around Iowa City.
Spring is coming! I’m glad I left the snow behind. I hope to see it all gone by the time I get back from a medical refresher course down here (where I had done my residency).
04/01/2008 at 8:17 pm #1886272Your right spring is here. On the way home from work today. I had the first flat lander of the year run a stop sign and almost take me out.
