Congratulations to Sloughfoot, who has completed the Wisconsin Falling Water Challenge. Woot. They managed to visit 26 of Wisconsin’s waterfall caches, even though they had just 5 when the cache came out, traveling across the state to get the caches. Looks like they visited a lot of really great spots.
Sloughfoot is Third to Find, after Sweetlife and KSpud.

07/17/2010 at 2:19 pm #1933414Congrats! I new you must be getting close, because I was getting a lot of your logs on my watchlist/ “wish list”. I hope you had fun seeing all the falls.
07/17/2010 at 10:56 pm #1933415Very nice work on completing this challenge! It looks like retirement is keeping you more than busy.
07/18/2010 at 5:41 am #1933416Very nice, and TTF too! Warm congrats to both of you! What a neat challenge to share together – waterfalls! Well done! 8)
07/18/2010 at 2:21 pm #1933417“Don’t go chasing waterfalls…” unless you’re looking to complete a challenge. Nice run to make it happen, Team Sloughfoot! Beats working any day. 😉

07/18/2010 at 3:18 pm #1933419Congratulations, that’s quite the road trip to get to this one. We’re hoping we can get the last few we need to find this one sometime in the next few months, too.
07/18/2010 at 4:59 pm #1933420WTG Team Sloughfoot. Retirement sounds like it’s tireing getting all those caches.
07/18/2010 at 8:31 pm #1933421Congrats on the Challenge find. It took us a couple of years to find them all.
07/26/2010 at 1:56 pm #1933422Thanks folks for all the comments. We underwent a technology warp when we retired and are using a dialup connection so we don’t get to check the forums as often as we ought to. There is a satellite connection in our future though.
We love a good challenge and a reason to go for a ride. I guess that is why we like geocaching so much. We had some memorable waterfall hunts and pushed ourselves a little harder then if we weren’t doing the challenge. We probably did the waterfalls at the perfect time as the rain has kept them pumping at max this year. Of course the foliage is at max also, and the bugs and the ripe berries.
I guess my favorite because it took the most time and involved a one mile cross country hike would have to be “Lost Falls GCNMJF” The terrain rating is probably a little low but it is worth every ache and bug bite just to see that spot.
The final had some chalenges also but I don’t want to give anything away there. Thanks Zuma for putting together the challenge.
