We are looking for smashed pennies from around the state. Not for us but for a fellow cacher, Rivercity, from California. If you could help us out let me know. Here is the link for smashed pennies in the state http://www.pennycollector.com/Locations.aspx?area=89
Please help us out.

On the Left Side of the Road...01/22/2008 at 3:37 am #1883721The machines I’ve been to have 4 different designs. Do they want one of each design? I’ve got some from HH Bennett and Discovery World. I may be able to get more from the Wisconsin Dells’ machines this weekend. Let me know what they are looking for and where you want me to send them.

I am looking for help in getting the pennies. Rivercity is a great cacher from California and we met her at GW5 and in Vegas at a meet and greet. I would like to get some pennies to give her at GW6.

01/24/2008 at 4:54 am #1883726VG – would Rivercity be interested in the one I got today? it is the New England Patriots one from the Quincy marketplace in Boston. I would have gotten all 4 if I would have had a pocket full of quarters. I really only got it on a whim and I really don’t have a need for it.

Sure if you don’t mind parting with it. Thanks so much.
01/24/2008 at 2:57 pm #1883728I once heard the penny smashers really did not smash anything, but rather kept your penny and punch out a copper replacement. 😯 So they really do squish ’em?

A copper replacement would be worth more than the penny.
01/25/2008 at 12:13 am #1883730If you look closely to the reverse side, you can sort of see the squished image from the penny.
