I hate you guys for living in a cache rich area…lol..maybe I should move to West Bend someday – lol.

Think of it as quality, not quantity for where you are, Todd. I get all nervous and shaky when I think about caching in an urban area. 😉

Pros and cons for all caching spots.

Well there are no caches within a mile of my home.
There are 11 within 5 miles, of which I have not found 1 (because it is not there)
There are 31 within 10 miles, still just that one I haven’t found.

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Our circle… counted up the old fashioned way (no PQ capability):

        From our home:

89 caches available within 10 miles, excluding ours
26 left to find within 10 miles

        Our other circle, Townsend, WI:

62 caches available within 10 miles, excluding ours
29 left to find within 10 miles

Interesting topic, I thought we had cleared off more local caches than what an actual search shows. Guess we need to get busier.

        OK, here we go.

        1 mile – 24 caches, 0 unfound
5 miles – 98 caches, 1 unfound (It is disabled. Curse you, Jerry’s dad! )
        10 miles – 270 caches, 23 unfound
        20 miles – 1114 caches, 178 unfound
        30 miles – 2769 caches, 1131 unfound
        50 miles – 5732 caches, 3930 unfound

Who would have thought that my goal this summer would bring such discussion! 😀

My 30 miles was about 700 unfound and 20 miles was a little over 300. (but I took care of some today 8) )

        Very interesting.

        From my Zip Code

        1 mile – 0 caches
        5 miles – 28 caches, 1 unfound
        10 miles – 99 caches, 7 unfound
        20 miles – 325 caches, 29 unfound
        30 miles – 679 caches, 174 unfound

I just noticed a bunch of new caches that I need to take care of.

        Thanks

        <1-1 mile: 1 unfound
        1.1-5 miles: 40 unfound
        5.1-10 miles: 69 unfound
        10.1-20 miles: 910 unfound

Not going any further. No PQs here either, so that was all done counting on the GC page (took me 60 pages to get past 20 miles!)

        #1930794

        Did this the manual way…

        0- 1 mi 20 caches (3 owned) 0 to find
        1.1 – 5 mi 300 caches (7 owned) 45 to find (7 puzzles, 1 disabled)
        5.1 – 10 mi 153 caches (5 owned) 37 to find (13 puzzles, 0 disabled)
        10.1 – 20 miles 280 caches (4 owned) 182 to find (25 puzzles)
        20.1 – 30 mi 966 caches (0 owned) 379 to find (118 puzzles, 13 disabled, 1 event)

21 caches have the “NEW” icon.

          Unfound cache circles:

          0-10 miles – 2

          10-20 miles – 21

20-30 miles – 200 (looks like Appleton is less than 30 miles away!)

Those 2 will be bothering me all night! 😡

Well, boost that number a little bit, geolivestrong can’t stop hiding them! 😀

Hmmm, looks like I’ve been slacking on finding those nearby caches lately… Something to work on this fall after the Ba$h.

From my home coordinates…. I maxed out the Pocket Query on the 20 and 30 mile….

30 mile: over 1000, (>1000 unfound) Wow, that surprises me!
          20 mile: over 1000, (644 unfound)
          10 mile: 528, (122 unfound)
          5 mile: 248, (38 unfound)
          1 mile: 22, (0 unfound)

Green Bay area…what I call my reign (or circle) of terror. I haven’t cached in a while, but my numbers still look pretty good. I am only really obsessed about my 5 mile radius. Here are my numbers after 5 miles you see it goes up very quickly.

          1 mile – 0 unfound (13 total)
          2 miles – 0 unfound (63 total)
          3 miles – 8 unfound (131 total)
          4 miles – 11 unfound (181 total)
          5 miles – 19 unfound (237 total)
          10 mile – 83 unfound (427 total)

Being a math person, I love all of these stats!! Also within my 5 MILE RADIUS. I only have one puzzle cache unfound (not unsolved, it’s solved)
