Let’s say for whatever reason, you’ve decided to move on to something else. Do you have any caches you absolutely would want to try before that happens? I made a list the other day of what caches I’d really like to do (not travel related, just our usual stomping grounds)(which do range to northern Minnesota) and there aren’t that many left for me. Here’s my shortlist.

    Savannah State Forest bog caches
    GC5YZRN, GC5KFV3, GC5Z02P
These are along the lines of Eagle Source near Three Lakes….hikes in the middle of nowhere in a bog.

    Eagle Mountain EC
    GC2XXZG
    Minnesota’s high point

    Superior Hiking Trail caches
    GC1FV0Q
This is just one of them. We’ve done some. The trail starts in Jay Cooke SP and runs all the way to the Canadian border, overlooking Lake Superior.

North Country Trail caches in Wisconsin

Pictured Rocks caches (mostly virts and ECs, anyway)

    Rest of MN virtuals
We just have five more to visit. The toughest one will be the one at the Air National Guard Museum in St. Paul, due to increased security alerts. GCJAHG

The common theme here seems to be location, location, location and usually a nice hike.

So what caches would you want to find before you hang it up?

If I had decided to hang it up I don’t think I’d care about doing any more caches at all.  I think I’d just go to places I’d want to go to and not worry about finding a cache there.  The only one I really wouldn’t want to give up finishing is the Jasmer challenge.

The final one would be a “Cemetery Cache.”
