Other than the quesadillas, other uses for Hummus?

I’m laughing as I post this. The neighbor wife Really Loves Hummus! Any time they come over and bring a dish, it often is this pre-chewed substance.

Her husband would much rather gorge himself on the other snacks like me (when she’s not looking).

    BUT, my wife loves it!

Okay, enough not sharing by me.

    Mini Rubens

    Cocktail Rye-Toast It
The dried beef that comes in those glass jars on the grocery shelf.
    Sauer Kraut
    Lots of Onion Powder
Small slice of swiss cheese on top.
Bring it to the party on a cookie tray like that, pop it in the broiler just prior to serving, there are never any left to take home πŸ™

Makes a yummy sandwich with tabouli. Starch three ways.

I’m firing up the smoker for ribs and chicken. Chicken will be served with Big Bob Gibson-style white sauce. Basically half and half cider vinegar and mayonnaise plus spices. Unbelievable. Almost a religion unto itself if you like ‘que. Homemade baked beans on the side and peach cobbler from scratch for dessert.

Sloughfoot made a big pot of chili and Mrs. S added a loaf of beer bread. Nachos for later too.

Picked a nacho dip off of dutchovendude.com, unfortunately I didn’t count on the 3+ inches of ice in the fire pit…so in the crock pot it goes…smells awesome in the house now :>

Went to the dog show this morning, meaning not enough time for brisket, but we stopped at the store and they had baby back ribs on special, so we picked up some of them for today and some for the freezer. Made some coleslaw to go with it, and stuffed mushrooms, guacamole and chips, and a couple pretzel dips. Peach cobbler sounds good, but I had 5 kinds of cobbler yesterday 😯

Use the 12inch DO if you have it, a thinner spread on the beans would be the only change I make.

With 15 (+/-) Dutch ovens, I think I can find one that will work.
