I haven’t seen one in my area for over about 6 weeks. I have to wonder how, if they released more this year than ever, I’m not seeing any bop around. Is anyone else noticing a lack of mobile Green Jeeps?

09/12/2006 at 1:02 pm #1765521Yep. I got one in the mail which I used to seed a cache. It was grabbed by someone who took it to the WGA picnic. It’s still listed as being at the picnic, so I wonder if someone picked it up there and took it home as a souvenier?
I haven’t seen a green Jeep since.
09/12/2006 at 2:29 pm #1765522I put mine out up here in T.R. and it was picked up fast. One came to the event this weekend, but not sure where that one is going. I have a White jeep here that came to the event and will get that one out asap.
09/12/2006 at 3:03 pm #1765523Not that I do that much caching … but I’ve never seen a White, much less then new Green ones … in fact I’ve not stumbled into any of the Original ones for over a year.

09/12/2006 at 5:26 pm #1765525What happened last year to all the Jeeps I was watching and what seems to be happening this year is that the Jeeps are being picked up and taken out of the state. At the same time, Jeeps don’t seem to be COMING to WI in the same fashion. Hopefully we can find some of them around but they will probably be scarce.

Is there anyway to set up a search just for Jeep TB in a zip code area or anything like that? The jeep I picked up is the first one I have ever seen. There is one yellow one posted in a cahce but seems to have gome missing.

I received it in the mail on 8/8, placed it in a local cache on 8/13, it was picked up from that cache on 8/13, taken to the picnic on 8/19 and has been in and out of two or three caches since.
I’m happy to say mine is still rolling along…..

09/12/2006 at 7:44 pm #1765529I got mine at home in MN, and took it into NW Wisc and dropped it shortly after. It has since been taken just across the river in St Croix to a really cool cache- Canoe Landing.

Guess you missed the big hand out. We brought a bunch of back from Camp Jeep. Passed out about 20 of them at the WGA picnic. Had ’em hanging out of my pocket and gave them to people who commented or asked about them. We still have a few…we plan to start planting them in caches, but won’t post them! We’ll just drop them and people will get a nice surprise when they find them.

mbAwesome. I plan to do a few caches out Silver Lake way this weekend. Maybe I’ll run into one.
