So who won the Cache Ba$h in West Bend?

I was expecting to see a posting as to what the top five finishers were. I sure widh I coulda been there. Did anything out of the ordinary happen?

Even though I was there, I can’t remember the team names off hand. I did not make the followup meeting, so I did not catch all the names then either – but will find out for you and post – unless one of the other committee members sees this and can let you know. There were ALOT of prizes in addition to the $$ and it really was fun to watch so many people win all the different stuff. 😀 As far as anything else happening, the best thing was the nice weather and great group of people that got together! Speaking for myself, my coords were way off for one cache and drove a few people nuts 🙄 oops!

According to the log kept by the West Bend Chamber, there were 171 teams and 381 people in attendance on Saturday.

The big cash winners were:

$500: CC8C4 (From Iowa)
$250: JimandLinda
$100: PharmTeam
$100: TwoWorldly
$50: Goofy2

The award for the longest distance went to TeamSnook from Florida. But we also had teams visiting from California (not sure why this was not the farthest?), Virginia, New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan, as well as cachers who drove quite a distance in Wisconsin to join us.

I will also post this on the cache page. Hopefully, photos will be posted soon too.

This was FUN! Good weather definitely helped. Just one more note for those of you who couldn’t make it… They announced that it will be going on again next year – same weekend!!

We are definately hoping to hit this again next year – and will probably stay down closer so we can get an earlier start. 27 of 51 for us with it being a day trip this year.
